The Canadian Association of Assessment Specialists was founded to establish standards and practices for the testing and assessment of human resources and to provide members with the tools to practice at the highest professional levels.
Association Objectives:
To develop and maintain professional standards for the the testing and assessment of human resources.
To enhance the status of assessment specialists through practices and ethics.
To pool the resources of members by circulating news, statistics and knowledge of testing and assessment.

Membership Benefits
Two types of memberships are available to the CAAS. Full members
have completed the respective accreditation programs and can obtain their
professional designation by joining the association. Associate members
are consultants or service providers and suppliers to the human resource
and management sectors or those who have not yet completed the full accreditation
program.
Other membership benefits include an online subscription to Workplace
Today® Online Journal, the Canadian Journal of Workplace Issues, Plans
and Strategies, Members Quarterly Newsletters (in print and online),
online access to IPM's Workplace Library and Workplace Forums (online
discussion groups), as well as access to IPM's Associations' Information
Hotline.
Chapter Events
The Association of Professional Recruiters of Canada, the Canadian
Association of Assessment Specialists, the Canadian Management
Professionals Association and the Canadian Professional Trainers
Association hold regular chapter events in major centres across Canada
between September and June of each year to include meetings, half day
workshops and conferences. These events present an ideal opportunity to
network with other members as well as gain valuable insight from guest
speakers on a wide range of workplace and management issues.
